Should I buy by country or a multi-country plan?

Simple rule: if the trip is to a single country, that country's plan is usually better value. If you are crossing two or more, look at the regional or global plan, because it saves you buying and activating several times. Before buying, check your phone

Dial *#06# on the phone keypad: if a 32-digit EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM. Compatible devices include the iPhone XS, XR and later, the Samsung Galaxy S20 onward, the Google Pixel 3 and above and over 500 models. The phone must also be unlocked, with no carrier lock.
Open the email with the QR, go to Settings, find the option to add an eSIM or data plan and scan the code. In under 1 minute the eSIM is installed. On the iPhone you go to Settings, Cellular, Add eSIM and scan the QR we send you. You can have your main SIM and the eSIM at the same time (Dual SIM): you keep your number for calls and WhatsApp and use the eSIM only for travel data. It works on the iPhone XS, XR and all later models.
