PuraSIM character comparing which eSIM suits your trip
For your trip you need about3 GB

This is a rough estimate. You can top up your data any time, without reinstalling anything.

We compared the price of PuraSIM with Airalo, Holafly, Nomad and Saily across eight destinations. Prices were read on September 11, 2026 on each brand's website, in their dollar version and without promotions or discount codes. If a brand does not sell an equivalent plan, we say so instead of making up a figure.

Where we are not the cheapest

In Mexico, Nomad sells 5 GB for $11.00 USD and PuraSIM for $19.99 USD. We're upfront about it: on that destination our wholesale cost is higher and we prefer to say it rather than hide the row.

How we measured

  • Same plan across all brands: 5 GB of data for 30 days, or the cheapest 1 GB plan. Data only, no bundles with minutes or SMS.
  • Published price, not converted: each figure is what the brand's website shows in dollars. We don't use strikethrough prices or temporary offers.
  • Date: September 11, 2026. Prices for all brands change; if you see a difference, each brand's website is the authority.
  • Europe: we compare regional plans that include the main European Union countries. Our Europe regional plan includes France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine; we compare it with the regional plans from Nomad, Saily, and Airalo.

What this table doesn't measure

Price isn't everything. Before choosing, also look at coverage (which local carrier each eSIM uses), whether the plan allows data sharing with other devices, and what support is like if something goes wrong at your destination. All PuraSIM plans include hotspot and 24/7 human support.

Frequently asked questions

Why is PuraSIM cheaper in some destinations?

Because we sell the same type of plan as other brands (data by GB, connected to local networks) with a slimmer margin on the most popular destinations. Where our wholesale cost is higher, we're not the cheapest, and we say so above.

Is Holafly more expensive?

Holafly sells a different product: unlimited data by the day. It's worth it if you're going to use a lot in a few days; if a few gigs are enough, a per-GB plan usually costs less.

How often do you update these prices?

We check the table whenever our prices or the competition's change. The date of the last check is at the top of the page.

Which eSIM works best for your trip?

Use the comparison tool above: enter your destination, trip length, and usage type, and we'll tell you how many GB you need and take you to the right plan.

How many GB do I need

  • Light use (maps, messaging, some web): 1-3 GB for a weekend, 5 GB per week.
  • Normal use (social media, photos, some video): around 5 GB per week.
  • Heavy use (streaming, video calls, hotspot): 10 GB or more per week.

eSIM or roaming: which is better for you

Compared to your carrier's roaming, a travel eSIM gives you a fixed price before you leave, with no bill shocks. And compared to a local SIM at the airport, you skip the queues and paperwork: activate it with a QR code before you fly.
