Terms of service

These Terms govern the purchase and use of the eSIM cards and data plans offered by PuraSIM (purasim.com). By making a purchase, you accept them.

1. Who we are

PuraSIM sells eSIM data plans for travellers that run on local carrier networks through wholesale agreements. PuraSIM acts as a reseller of the data service.

2. Product and requirements

  • The eSIM is a digital product: you will receive a QR code by email to install it.
  • Your device must be eSIM compatible and carrier-unlocked. It is your responsibility to check this before buying (dial *#06# to see your EID).
  • The QR code is single-use; keep it until you have installed it.
  • Plans are data-only unless stated otherwise (they do not include traditional calls or SMS; you can use apps such as WhatsApp).

3. "Unlimited" plans and Fair Use Policy (FUP)

Plans advertised as "unlimited data" are subject to a Fair Use Policy to guarantee service quality for all users:

  • They include data at full speed up to 2-3 GB per day (the exact threshold depends on the destination and the plan, and is stated on each product page).
  • Once that daily threshold is reached, the speed is reduced for the rest of the day (you can keep browsing at limited speed) and it resets every 24 hours.
  • "Unlimited" means there is no total data cap during the validity of the plan, not unlimited maximum speed.
  • These plans are for personal, reasonable use. Abusive use, large-scale commercial use, P2P, servers and resale are not permitted.

4. Activation, validity and coverage

  • Data starts being consumed when you activate the eSIM at your destination. The validity (days) of each plan is stated on the product page and starts on activation.
  • Coverage depends on local networks; there may be areas without signal. PuraSIM does not guarantee uninterrupted coverage across an entire territory.
  • eSIMs are for temporary travel, not permanent roaming; continuous use outside your country of residence may be restricted by local carriers.

5. Prices and payments

Prices are shown in your country’s currency where available; the store’s base currency is the US dollar (USD), so the final amount charged by your bank may vary slightly depending on its exchange rate. Prices include applicable taxes where relevant, and there are no shipping costs, as this is a digital product.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments and other authorised payment providers. The available methods (credit or debit card, digital wallets and local options) are shown at checkout depending on your country. PuraSIM never stores your card details.

7. Liability

PuraSIM is not liable for indirect damages arising from lack of connectivity, device incompatibility or improper use. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected eSIM.

8. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Spanish and EU law. For any complaint, please write to us first at hola@purasim.com.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint, you can turn to an accredited alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body. The European Commission publishes the official list at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies. The former European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025.
