Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean, outside the European Union, so your home plan does not include roaming here and activating data with your usual operator can cost a fortune. With an eSIM for Anguilla, you'll have internet ready as soon as you land at Clayton J. Lloyd Airport: it connects to the local networks of Flow (Cable &Wireless) and Digicel, the same ones used by residents, with good 4G coverage in The Valley, Sandy Ground, Blowing Point and the tourist areas along the coast.
As Anguilla is not within the European roaming area, Spanish operators like Movistar, Vodafone, Orange or Yoigo apply international zone rates that are around €10 to €15 per day, and in many cases with limited data. For a one-week stay, that's over €70 just for connectivity. A data eSIM avoids that bill surprise: you pay a fixed price upfront and know exactly how much you're spending before you leave home.
Our eSIMs for Anguilla start from €3.95. As a guide, 1GB is more than enough for a weekend using maps, WhatsApp and social media; 3 to 5GB comfortably covers one or two weeks of normal travel, and if you're going to share your connection or upload a lot of photos from Shoal Bay or Meads Bay, choose a 10GB plan or higher. You can see all options and compare Caribbean destinations in all destinations.
A local physical SIM card requires you to find a Flow or Digicel store upon arrival, register with your passport and remove your usual SIM from your phone, with the risk of losing it. An eSIM is a digital card: it's installed via QR without changing anything physical, you keep your usual number active for SMS and important calls, and you can have your Anguilla data plan ready before you even leave Spain. Fewer hassles and zero queues as soon as you land.
Yes. Coverage relies on Flow and Digicel, the two main operators on the island, with stable signal in the capital The Valley, in the port of Blowing Point (from where the ferry to Marigot, St. Martin, departs), in Sandy Ground, West End and Island Harbour, and on the most visited beaches such as Shoal Bay, Rendezvous Bay and Meads Bay. In very isolated spots, the signal may drop, which is normal on a small island, but for browsing, navigation and communication, you'll be well served.
After purchase, you will receive a QR code by email. You scan it from your phone's settings, install the data profile, and activate data roaming for that line when you arrive in Anguilla: the connection will turn on automatically in a few minutes. We recommend installing the eSIM with Wi-Fi before leaving Spain and saving the activation for when you land. You can find step-by-step instructions with screenshots in our eSIM guide, and if you get stuck, we'll help you by email.
